After a long history of development Chemoinformatics has finally matured to a field of its own. Nevertheless it has not yet received the attention that it deserves.

The goals of this workshop are :

• define the scope of chemoinformatics
• raise the public awareness for chemoinformatics
• raise the awareness of funding agencies (national and European Union) for chemoinformatics
• integrate topics of chemoinformatics into chemistry curricula
• train a new generation of experts in this field
